One-year Overseas Learning

Hey! Hey! Happy 2007. Well! Now it is now in the middle timing which means I really stay longer in U.K. than in Taiwan in 2007. Finally, I realized the reason why academic learning will call us as 2007 graduate rather than 2006.

After preparing the final project, I start to review my own process and learning. It seems that I need to carry on some evaluation.

General English
After the endding of term, I could hardly hear any lecture related to business areas. Well! The overall situation shows that I am lacks of chances to speak and hear English. However, it is not really. I got group project. There are two other people in my group. One is from Greece and the other is from Taiwan. So I still got the chance to speak in English. In addition, I got Shamini. Therefore, I still got other friends who speak in English or I will easily occupied by lots of Chinese. It is really important to explaine your own opinions in a smooth way not in a hurry.

Pronunciation
Before I try very hard to imitate the tones of British style, it is really a hard process. One of my friends told me that it is a little bit force myself to change it as she could tell from my imitation much obviously. However, I still keep trying doing that. After going to the Netherlands, I realized that I am successful. My pronunciation has been admitted as British style. In addition, the European prefers and beleives British style rather than American English. Ha!

Recently, I got along with Greek very often. The way they speak English is to roll tongue. Ha! As I am a good imitator, I get used to say that kind of English very easily. Anyway, I must meet Shamini much often to keep the normal and formal way.

In fact, if I told that my English seeems not to improve a lot, I will feel so sorry for the investment. However, generally speaking, the overseas learning is much like a process to find out yourself, especially for your own personality. It is not only a rest but a timimg for imrpovement. To see is to believe and practicing makes perfert. In marketing area, to learn is to do. Doing is the best way to grow up. Therefore, the whole year should be a year of discovery myself.
